First sip of coffee and a barcode - a photo on Flickriver

            Soon after rolling out of Progress Rail's EMD plant in Muncie, Indiana, fans nicknamed NS 1111 the "Barcode Unit", not only due to the appearance of the font on its number on the side of the cab, but also its number boards, which do in fact look like you need a barcode reader of some sort to properly tell you what the engine is trying to tell you. 

At any rate, here the barcode unit heads up CSX train B621 (Bensenville, IL, CP run-through, to Tampa, FL, loaded ethanol) rolling through East CN Jct. in Harvey, Illinois on CSX's former GTW Elsdon Sub.
