This very ephemeral flower usually seen around Christmas, the scientific name is Schlumbergera.
I love the way all the pollen is on the petals.
Sometimes a second bloom around Easter.
Also the name of a famous film and play.
In the film Cactus Flower ( Cactus Flower ) of Gene Saks ( 1969 ), this is Ingrid Bergman's character who plays Stephanie Dickinson, dedicated nurse for ten years the dentist Julian Winston, played by Walter Matthau.
Goldie Hawn had her first screen appearance in this!
