The First Breath of a New Day - a photo on Flickriver

            20 miles from where it rises on Bodmin Moor, the Lynher meets the river Tamar. The name given to the stretch of water between this confluence and Plymouth Sound, where it flows into the English Channel, is the Hamoaze. Along the Devon bank of this part of the river stretches Devonport Dockyard,  one of three major bases of the Royal Navy today. On this morning it lay concealed by the lingering morning mist.
