Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!

And Happy Sliders Sunday, too :-)

HDR made from two pictures (one overexposed and one [slightly more] correctly exposed image) taken in manual mode. Taken at the Christmas Garden light show at the Botanic Garden in Berlin. This was the first time ever I was on my way almost exclusively in M mode (my "M mode premiere" was at the Tierpark Berlin ["Christmas at the Tierpark"] in Mid-December, where Flickr friend Nico Fiebig Freizeitfoto.de gave me a few very good and valuable tips on how to deal with difficult light situations by using manual mode.) It's never too late to learn how to shoot in M mode, isn't it ;-)

I like the slightly surreal mood here with the bright lawn leading to the Main Tropical Greenhouse, and the somewhat "Northern-light"-like colours of the cloudy sky. I enhanced both in Aurora HDR (preset "Impressive Drama"), ON Photo Raw and Colour Efex, where I applied the "Gradutated Neutral Density" filter to slightly darken the sky and brighten the foreground.

Tschüss 2019, Hallo 2020!

HDR aus zwei Fotos (eins über-, das zweite halbwegs korrekt belichtet), im manuellen Modus fotografiert. Meine "M-Modus-Premiere" war bei einem sehr schönen Fotospaziergang mit Flickr-Freunden Mitte Dezember bei "Weihnachten im Tierpark", als Nico Fiebig Freizeitfoto.de mir ein paar sehr gute Tipps gab, wie sich im M-Modus die dort sehr schwierige Lichtsituation aus dunkler Umgebung, bunten, nicht ganz so hellen und sehr hellen, (über-)strahlenden Lichtern meistern ließ. Also dachte ich mir bei einem Besuch des "Christmas Garden" im Berliner Botanischen Garten einen Tag nach Weihnachten, dass ich am besten gleich mal im M-Modus weitermache ;-) Es ist ja zum Glück nie zu spät, Kamera-technisch was Neues zu lernen :-)

Hier hat mir die leicht surreale Stimmung mit dem hellen Rasen vor dem Großen Tropenhaus gut gefallen, weshalb ich das Ganze in Aurora HDR (Preset "Impressive Drama"), ON1 Photo Raw und Color Efex (Filter "Graduated Natural Density", um den Vordergrund etwas aufzuhellen und den Himmel oben leicht abzudunkeln) noch etwas betont habe.
