La Almenara | The Watchtower - a photo on Flickriver

Después de varias planificaciones, por fin pudimos disfrutar de la oscuridad que nos ofrece el cielo en Sierra de Gata, en concreto alrededor de la zona de La Almenara de Gata. Testigo de antiguas disputas medievales y vigía del paso del tiempo, con un espectacular paisaje, desde donde se puede contemplar gran parte del noroeste de Extremadura por encima del Tajo. Una vez se hace de noche, la calidad del cielo es como pocas, un verdadero paraíso para poder relajarse. No sin dificultades, y con un par de anécdotas, pudimos llegar a la base de La Almenara. Con 9 exposiciones verticales, de 15 segundos cada una, a ISO 5000 y f/2.8. No hay iluminación por nuestra parte.
· After several plans, we were finally able to enjoy the darkness offered by the sky in Sierra de Gata, specifically around the area of La Almenara de Gata. Witness of ancient medieval disputes and watch over the passage of time, with a spectacular landscape, from where you can see much of the northwest of Extremadura above the Tajo river. Once it gets dark, the quality of the sky is like few, a true paradise to relax. Not without difficulties, and with a couple of anecdotes, we were able to reach the base of La Almenara. With 9 vertical exposures, 15 seconds each, at ISO 5000 and f / 2.8. There is no illumination on our part.
