MCE_9799hammerheadworm1jsm - a photo on Flickriver

            In my backyard, as I watched the grass grow and the rocks erode to soil, I noticed what I thought was a funky flat-headed earthworm... how 'cool' I thought.  I whipped out my macro lens and took a few pics.
Later I googled this different sort of 'earthworm'.  What I found was what I deem as not a friend toward my family of earthworms, but a predator as such, the hammerhead worm, I believe.  Even if I were to cut this worm into a dozen little pieces, I'd have a new group of a dozen new hammerheads.  Oh well, one will often find a weed in the garden of roses!
