NYNH&H Fairbanks-Morse H-16-44 no. 1611

The FM H-16-44 was a diesel-electric locomotive produced by Fairbanks-Morse from April 1950 to February 1963. Twenty-five were built for the New Haven Railroad in two batches, classified by the railroad as DERS-3 and DERS-6 (the third and sixth models of diesel-electric road switchers used by the railroad).

This model is of the second batch, the DERS-6 class. The model of the H-16-44 was originally designed by Calvin Bramble as a Canadian Pacific unit, and I changed some details around to turn it into a New Haven locomotive. Credit for the decal artwork goes to Monty Smith.
