Secret Beach - a photo on Flickriver

Secret Beach

            On my bucket list of places to photograph a sunset was the "Secret Beach" in Southern Oregon.  Part of the Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor area, this trail isn't marked very well (thus the secret part of the title I suppose).  It can be found by searching for the mile marker and looking for a very small little parking area that dots Hwy 101.  There is a waterfall that makes it way into the Pacific Ocean (see the stream on the beach) and the hike down really isn't too difficult to get to the bottom.  Once you find your way to the bottom you can cross the small stream and walk the beach to find small sea caves and marine life.  One must make sure you are visiting during low tide though.  It was just a gorgeous night for photography.  I was splitting my time between this spot and the Natural Bridges area (Images coming soon).  We only spent a day in Southern Oregon as most of our time was focused on Northern California but I could spend weeks in Oregon just taking it all in.
