            Wittenberg ist eine Universitätsstadt an der Elbe im Osten Deutschlands mit engen Verbindungen zu Martin Luther, dem Wegbereiter der Reformation. Das Lutherhaus, einst ein Kloster und Luthers Wohnhaus, ist heute ein Museum mit seinen persönlichen Gegenständen und Gemälden. Auf dem Hauptplatz der Stadt, dem Marktplatz, steht die Stadtkirche aus dem 13. Jahrhundert sowie die Weltkugel mit einem Durchmesser von 2m
