5630 Dead Snowy Owl - a photo on Flickriver

            Dead unbanded Snowy Owl on the road along Wascana Creek. (Another dead one was in a field) This one may have been hit by a car instead of dying of the flu. Or the avian flu may have make it more likely to be hit. I have never seen a dead Snowy Owl before. We counted over 100 dead geese in this area  again today. I understand this is a particularly nasty and communicable variant of H5N1. S. of Richardson/Kronau (HWY 33), Saskatchewan, Canada. 12 April 2022.
