- The No. 9 cable tram was operated by the North Shore Cable Tram Service, on the North Sydney to St Leonards Park run. Here it is stopped in Miller St at Leonards Park, Sydney.
- Men and women in Edwardian dress are seated in the tram and posed in front for the photographer.
- Terrace houses are visible in the background, with a small boy in front of picket fence.
- A sign for the Terminus Refreshment Rooms can be partly seen on the far right".
