            MOTOFEST COVENTRY CONCOURS.

MotoFest is a unique blend of motorsport demonstrations, static displays, live music and anything else with a connection to Coventry and transport. 

The MG X Power SV is a high-performance sports car which emerged from a complex history involving Italian design, MG Rover's ambitious plans and a touch of marketing hype. 

Essentially the vehicle was a re-imagined version of the De Tomaso Bigua/Mangusta, styled by Peter Stevens who is known for his work on the McLaren F1. 

While aiming for a supercar level experience, the SV faced challenges with pricing and production hence selling in small numbers before MG Rover's demise. 

Just 82 cars were made over a 2 year period from 2004-2005. The homologation year saw the production of the SV model the 4.6 litres variant and 50 cars were allocated chassis numbers from #100 to #150. 

Due to the small volumes the cars were manufactured in Italy and Engineering at Coventry. 

When MG went bust, this car #150 was incomplete and not sold. It languished at the back of XK Engineering as part of MG's liquidation as money was owed. 

In 2015 the car was released, completed and offered to the general public with a chance of private ownership hence snapped up immediately by the current owner. 

The mileage was just 500 miles and was immediately taken to the SPA Classic and put through its paces on the famous F1 circuit. 

The car receives much attention and many people are still unaware of the make and model.
