04.25.23. Le Domaine de Guidou - Sciez (France)

            Le domaine de Guidou, qui couvre plus de 80 ha sur la commune de Sciez, regroupe une mosaïque de milieux diversifiés : secteurs boisés, parcelles agricoles, prairies humides et sèches, secteurs de roselières terrestres.
Un des éléments marquants du site est la présence de dunes de sable fossiles au niveau du Bois du Vernay, formation quasiment unique en Europe.

The Guidou domain, which covers more than 80 ha in the commune of Sciez, includes a mosaic of diversified environments: wooded sectors, agricultural plots, wet and dry meadows, and sectors of reed beds.
One of the outstanding elements of the site is the presence of fossil sand dunes at the level of the Vernay Wood, a formation that is almost unique in Europe.
