NMBS 2724 en 2752 bij Braine-Le-Comte op 1-6-2021

            Voor de werkdagen 1 en 2 juni 2021 werd de agenda leeggeveegd c.q. overleggen verplaatst om ruimte te maken voor een korte treinenspottrip naar België. Hoofddoel was het ballastvervoer tussen Quenast en Somain met als trekkracht de klassiekers van de serie 67400 van SNCF Fret. Deze fraaie locomotieven rijden waarschijnlijk 11 juni voor het laatst voor deze treinen. In de zomer wordt ECTS ingevoerd op de lijn L96 wat het einde betekent voor de inzet van de BB 67400 op deze lijn.

Zonder files kwam we net voor zevenen aan op ons eerste fotopunt. Voor de Franse diesels was o.a. de stek bij Soignies geschikt, maar daar staat zo vroeg de zon nog niet goed. Daarom werd eerst de stek bij Braine-Le-Comte bezocht. Vanaf een begroeide mestbult werd een hoog punt opgezocht. Dit slaagde niet en daarmee druk ik me zacht uit. De bult was toch minder stevig dan we dachten ;-). Gelukkig brachten onze trapjes uitkomst.

In korte tijd zagen we veel reizigersverkeer richting het noorden rijden. Na de nodige moderne treintjes zagen we in de verte een klassieker aankomen. Nu is het altijd afwachten of je een schone loc voor de lens krijgt. Gelukkig bleek de loc nog redelijk toonbaar te zijn en kon achter de computer de laatste graffiti worden verwijderd.

Hier zien we de  NMBS 2724 en achterop de NMBS 2752 passeren met een reizigerstrein in de buurt van Braine-Le-Comte.
