Bye-Bye MATS,,, Wish I were onboard.

            Military Air Transport Service (MATS) aircraft leaving Davis Monthan via my house. It was an unexpected target of opportunity. 

I was cleaning the Canon 30D's sensor. A slow process. The lens is not a telefoto, so what we got is what we got. I love these MATS aircraft. They are stately and majestic. Wish I were onboard.

The shot was into the sun, which was just out of the FOV. More than one lens flare says to me there is little care taken in this inexpensive kit lens to absorb internal reflections. That's not a surprise. I shouldn't be usifng it near the sun. But, I love to make lenses flare! That is fun, isn't it?

Especially when I can use it as an excuse to stop the tedious sensor cleaning process that is no fun at all. It's tedious, repetitious and boring... 

Well I have to leave for my scheduled MD visit. Bye-bye...
