🌈 Let There Be Light ❣️ - a photo on Flickriver

            LED Lamp next to my computer reflected by my iPhone. 

I think the rainbows are appearing due to interference effect of the protective thin film placed on the iPhone screen for protection.

Thin film diffraction comes to mind and Irwin Land. I am forgetting so much but it comes back in bits and pieces and lots of associations. Dr. Land was the speaker at my Ph.D. commencement exercise at M.I.T. I believe he was awarded an honorary Ph.D. at the same time.

BTW, I did not see the Roy G. Biv 🌈 color dispersions from each light with my naked eye. The camera caught it brilliantly❗️

That could be because the red green and blue sensors are on different layers in the camera sensor. Fascinating!!
