After visiting Kodachrome Basin State Park and getting back on State Highway 12, within just a very short distance traveling east, I came across this lovely butte perhaps 1&1/2 hours before sunset. Naturally I pulled over to take its portrait.

The sky is a bit of a departure for me as I always process my photos firmly within reality's sphere. It's not way out there, but I did tinker with it considerably. The clouds didn't initially stand out but with adjustments to clarity, texture and contrast, as well as sliding the color a bit toward the aqua they definitely do now. The sky now reminds me of a van Gogh painting.
