            A small pond above Mirror Lake in Eagle's Nest Wilderness, Colorado

July 2014

I almost missed this shot as the colors did not appear until after the sun had set and everything was getting dim. I wanted to get back to my campsite without too much hiking in the dark so I packed up my gear and was on my way when the sky suddenly lit up. Luckily I was able to set up again real quick.
