how I added a 55mm filter ring to my Holga 120pan

            I'm off on another trip and I decided I wanted to try some long exposures with this camera using a 77mm 8stop variable nd filter.  After searching the web I discovered a number of different methods (some extremely complicated, some not) of how to add a filter ring.  What I discovered was a 55 to 52mm step down ring fits nicely over the edge of the lens.  When a 52 to 55 step up ring is attached the whole thing snugs up nice and tight.  Now I have a 55mm ring on the outer edge of the lens that's easily removed so I can add or take away the holga shutter release.  (And if I'm concerned about how secure it is some electrical tape should take care of keeping the rings fixed to the lens). I'm waiting on a 55 to 77 step up ring to complete the rig.  Hopefully the whole thing will be flush enough so I don't catch too much of the filter in the edges of my frame.  Probably not.  You're welcome.
