SILVER FOX OF EDINBURGH VSO116S - a photo on Flickriver

            VSO116S was an AEC Reliance 6U3ZR /  Plaxton Supreme C53F purchased new by Simpson's of Rosehearty in February 1978. It had moved on to Silver Fox Coaches of Edinburgh by the time of this photograph and was on a visit to Glasgow's Bellahouston Park for the World Pipe Band Championships. The coaches were parked inside the park at this time and it cost you to get in. As I was quite mean and a great deal fitter in those days I would scour the fences looking for a weak spot to climb over and gain free admission. I didn't feel guilty owing to the fact that I'm probably the only Scotsman in the world who absolutely hates the drone of the pipes! and it was truly torture as far as I was concerned!
