47812 + 66560 Doncaster Down Decoy 6G25 1615 Rossington - Eggborough 24-10-03

            47812 and 66560 arrive in Doncaster Down Decoy with 6G25 1615 Rossington to Eggborough. During this period, two methods of work were used for hauling trains in and out of Rossington. EWS used a Queen Mary brake to propel the short distance from the colliery to the run round loop. Freightliner top n tailed their trains from Down Decoy into the pit. One of their small fleet of 47s were occasionally used for this. The 47 would then run light engine back to Midland Road or stable in Decoy. 24th October 2003.
