S.Meridian St, Indianapolis - a photo on Flickriver

            First day in America. 

I landed in Indianapolis and had the day to look around before I headed to Muncie, Indiana. 

I was there because I was invited to exhibit my sketches at the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University, Muncie. 

With the encouragement of friends, I travelled from Sydney Australia to see my exhibition and take the opportunity to do a pilgrimage of sorts to see the American work of architects Marion Mahony and Walter Burley Griffin. 

Their architecture is throughout the Midwest, so my trip was a three week round trip through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin.  

In between visiting their work, I sketched the towns and cities in my usual way.
