Benson Bridge, Multnomah Falls - a photo on Flickriver

            This bridge spans the space close to where the lower falls cascade to the pool below. It's a very popular spot for people taking photos of themselves in front of the upper falls.

In fact, in 1995 a wedding party was doing photos on the bridge when a 400-ton boulder came loose half-way up the falls, landing in the pool at the base of the upper falls.  The impact sent a 70-ft. wave of water and rocks over the bridge and the wedding party.  I would pay for the privilege of seeing that one photo where the wave is about to wash over everyone!
