Faerie Glens and Hillocks - a photo on Flickriver

            In my quest to archive all of my photos from my trip to Scotland a few years ago I am processing the images I previously overlooked.  This is from my second-to-last day in Scotland.  The curious hills that make up the Faerie Glen were formed through landslips, like the Quirang, farther north on the Trotternish peninsula.   It contains numerous small, conical-shaped hillocks that range from two to 10 meters in height.  I was particularly fascinated by the small copses of trees that you can see tucked into glens between the hills.
