This will be a fun shoot - a photo on Flickriver

            Another trip down Memory Lane from my early shooting days back in 2003 ...

These photos are from a shoot I did way back in October 2003; I was just starting out with digital cameras and working with models. I was equally clueless in both areas. For this shoot I think I was using a Olympus digital camera (C700UZ) and my new Canon Digital Rebel (I loved that camera). I think the Olympus camera only had JPEG capability, not RAW, and to shoot Sepia and B&W you had to do it in camera. I also noticed that back then I was doing a lot of very tight close-ups to the detriment of full length and half length shots. Lessons learned. 

The model in these photos is Erin the Red. At the time she worked for the same agency as me. She was in the Safety area. I met her when I opened a door and she wasn't looking and I think I literally knocked her off her feet. Ironic! 

I took these photos at Westchester Lagoon in Anchorage, Alaska in October 2003. It was nippy - snow was just a few weeks away. I miss those days and I really wish I could have these shoots over again.
