            Luminarias 2014
The word Luminaria refers to a traditional light or lantern popular in Latino cultures and ubiquitous in San Antonio. The notions of illumination, energy, warmth, movement and tradition inspired by this icon are integral to the Luminaria event, which features works of art based on the general theme of light.
Artists from San Antonio and all over the country created dramatic stage performances, magical streetscapes, dazzling light installations and galleries filled with surprising treasures. Local chefs and restaurants serve festival-goers from their mobile kitchens.
