Pocahontas Limited Edition 16 inch Doll - Disney Store Purchase - Deboxed - Standing - Cape Closed - Closeup Left Front View #3

            Pocahontas has been fully deboxed.  She is standing, with the cape closed.  She can't free stand because her leg joins aren't stiff enough, so she is supported by the included display stand.  I chose to leave the cape tacked to her shoulder of her bodice, and to leave the necklace held in place by a rubber band around her shoulders.

Detailed photos of my Pocahontas Limited Edition 16 inch doll. I got her in-store today. There was four people lined up before the store opened to get one of the 12 dolls they had available. My doll is #344 of 4500. 

Although her dress's design is similar to that of the 2014 Designer Fairytale Pocahontas 12 inch doll, it is much more detailed, with more intricate embroidery and beadwork, and is much more royal looking. Even though the bulk of the full length cape is a single layer chiffon, it has detailing in the shoulder area and has a fading of the color from deep blue on top to light turquoise on bottom. The front box color goes from red on top to blue on the bottom. and the background has a similar but more faded color scheme, with trees in silhouette. The doll looks very striking against the box colors. She is barefoot, and stands 16 inches tall. Her face is very beautiful and is more lively than the DFDC doll, with a darker lip color and side glancing and brighter eyes. Her skin color is a little tricky to capture accurately in photographs, being sensitive to the lighting conditions, with the contrast to her black hair adding to difficulty in achieving the correct color and exposure. I am very happy with how this doll turned out.
