Soldier Beetle - Cantharis fusca - a photo on Flickriver

            Found common in large parts of Europe and live in shrubs, bushes, meadows and edges of forests. The adults and larvae will hunt and feed on small insects. These beetles are very cold-resistant and is not unusual to see them crawling on the snow in the winter.
