So Much For Stopping... - a photo on Flickriver

            So after Iowa Interstate 6988 completed the last of its five steam excursions, it was to return to Silvis for the night.  Word on the street was that it would stop in Atkinson for a meet with the eastbound CBBI on its way toward Chicago.  Figuring that 6988 would be running faster than the excursions, I made a beeline straight for Atkinson for the meet rather than trying to intercept it along the way.  But, as seen in this image, when 6988 hit the siding in Atkinson, it showed no signs of stopping!  And now, because it didn't stop, AND this was my last chance go catch it blasting past the depot in Geneseo, the race was now on!
