From The Hills of Trivoli - a photo on Flickriver

            West of Glasford, chasing the KJRR gets notoriously difficult, despite the low operating speeds.    The terrain becomes rather hilly between Glasford and Canton, and what few roads there are quickly turn to gravel.  One of the few grade crossings, and one of the fewer paved ones, is Tivoli Rd, at the western end of Devil's Washboard Rd, just a few miles outside of Glasford.  This is one of the more famous spots along the KJRR, as the tracks run in a big, sweeping valley.  The preferred shot here is to go wide, showing the extend of the descent into the valley.  But the sheer amount of railfans parking alongside the road made the wide shot impossible.  The decision to stop here, coupled with the gravel roads, would mean a miss at the next few attempts at an encounter.  Waiting for the line of railfans did not help either, and so we would then narrowly miss the train at Coppers Creek Rd., Orion School Rd, and Breeds.  Not wanting to miss the next famous spot, the decision was made to move on to Canton, to the former CB&Q crossing.
