 1. Catalunya es constitueix en Estat sobirà, democràtic i social de Dret.
 2. La sobirania recau en el poble de Catalunya.

Article 3
Els símbols nacionals
 1. La bandera de Catalunya continuarà sent la històrica de quatre barres 
vermelles sobre fons groc.
 2. L’himne oficial de Catalunya és ‘Els Segadors’.
 3. La Diada nacional se celebrarà el dia 11 de setembre.

Article 4
La llengua
1. La llengua oficial i pròpia de Catalunya és el català, i per tant, serà 
emprada de forma preferent per totes les Administracions publiques en els 
seus respectius àmbits.

  1. Catalonia is constituted as a sovereign, democratic and social State ruled by law.
  2. Sovereignty rests with the people of Catalonia.

Article 3
The national symbols
  1. The flag of Catalonia will continue to be the historic four bars
red on a yellow background.
  2. The official anthem of Catalonia is 'Els Segadors'.
  3. National Day will be celebrated on September 11.

Article 4
The language
1. The official and proper language of Catalonia is Catalan, and therefore, it will be
used preferentially by all public administrations in the
their respective areas.
