Estat de guerra.

El Front Polisario, el moviment polític que s'identifica amb l'autoproclamada República Àrab Democràtica Sahrauí (RASD), va donar per acabat l'acord d'alto el foc amb el Marroc, signat el 1991, i va decretar el «estat de guerra» amb el regne alauita.
L'anunci estableix el toc de queda per a la població sahrauí sota el seu control, que afecta gairebé en exclusiva als 250.000 persones que malviuen des de fa 45 anys en els camps de refugiats de la regió algeriana de Tindouf, ja que l'escàs territori sahrauí que controla està deshabitat.
Un incident, en altres circumstàncies menor, al sud de l'antiga colònia espanyola ha servit com a detonant. A finals d'octubre, activistes sahrauís van bloquejar el pas als camions de mercaderia marroquins procedents de l'Àfrica subsahariana en el pas fronterer de Guerguerat, que controla la força d'interposició de l'ONU. El Polisario insisteix que aquesta via comercial va contra el pactat amb el Marroc. Rabat afirma el contrari. I fa dies va enviar al seu exèrcit a el pas per espantar els sahrauís.

Joves saharauis se’n van a la guerra.
Als camps només hi queden els avis, les mares i les criatures. La resta són a les escoles d’entrenament militar.

The Polisario Front, the political movement identified with the self-proclaimed Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), ended its ceasefire agreement with Morocco, signed in 1991, and declared a state of war »with the Alawite kingdom.
The announcement establishes a curfew for the Sahrawi population under its control, which affects almost exclusively the 250,000 people who have been living for 45 years in the refugee camps in the Algerian region of Tindouf, as the scarce Sahrawi territory it controls is uninhabited.
An incident, in other minor circumstances, south of the former Spanish colony has served as a trigger. In late October, Sahrawi activists blocked the passage of Moroccan goods trucks from sub-Saharan Africa at the Guerguerat border crossing, which controls the UN interposition force. The Polisario insists that this trade route goes against the agreement with Morocco. Rabat states the opposite. And a few days ago he sent his army on the move to scare the Sahrawis.

Young Saharawis go to war.
Only grandparents, mothers and children remain in the fields. The rest are in military training schools.
