            11.7.1988.
In BR large logo grey livery, Class 47 No 47345 takes the line to Oxford at Didcot's  West Curve Junction with a northbound freight.
Named 'Scimitar' in October 1991, the loco was scrapped at Ron Hull's of Rotherham in Feb 2007.

At the time the picture was taken Didcot Power Station was still operating - you can see a coal train and the top of an 08 shunter above 47345.
