60103. The 'Inaugural Run' …….. - a photo on Flickriver

 LNER Gresley A3 Pacific 4-6-2 No 60103 'Flying Scotsman' makes a fine sight as it passes Arksey with its first mainline passenger run since its £4.2 million overhaul.
It's inaugural run from London King's Cross to York was fully booked with seats costing £450 - the line side was crowded along the whole route with interested enthusiasts and the general public.
As ever, with the ECML, lighting was a touch difficult - with a bright sky but no sun! 
This shot was taken from a public foot crossing.
