back in the good old days....(HSS) - a photo on Flickriver

            From the early days of "modern" mechanized planting, this old Minneapolis Moline tractor and planter ran on a wire. As the tractor and planter moved along the wire,it would trip the planter to drop seeds at regular intervals. I would imagine planting 10 acres a day was a big deal.
