IMG_7003-01(W) Baby White Spotted Cat Snake (Boiga drapiezii)

            A very thin, docile snake. At first, we didn't see this snake as I spotted a Green Crested Lizard (B. cristella) then suddenly one of the guys, Mr. Sham asked, is that a snake?
Length: About 0.7-0.8 meter while maximum length for this sp. could reach 2.1 m
Toxicity: Mildly-venomous (not medically significant on human)
Location: Sarawak, Borneo.

This species come in two color forms. One form is predominantly green with faint bands of pale green with darker specks, or thin dark banding. The other form is predominantly brown with thick bands of orange/pink and minor bands of white speckling (see pic). The ventral surface is pale yellow to white. Juveniles may exhibit black speckling on top of the head.

Distribution: Southern Burma, Southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia,  Singapore, Indonesia (Sumatra, Java), Borneo and the southern Philippines.

Breeding habits: The female is known to lay eggs in arboreal termite nest
