UN VIAGGIO A......

            DOBBIACO. IL LAGO.

Dobbiaco é il comune delle Tre Cime di Lavaredo: la meta per tutti i turisti, amanti della natura alla ricerca di pace e tranquillità, sia d’inverno sia d’estate. 
Gustav Mahler scelse Dobbiaco come residenza estiva dal 1908 al 1910.
Il piccolo lago di Dobbiaco è situato a sud dell’omonimo paese, esattamente al confine tra due famosi parchi naturali dell’Alto Adige: il Parco Naturale di Sesto ed il Parco Naturale Fanes-Sennes-Braies.

Il lago si è formato nell’antichità da numerose frane che si staccarono dalle montagne sulla sponda occidentale del lago. La Rienza è il suo immissario ed emissario.
Inoltre, il lago rappresenta uno degli ultimi esempi di marcita, una cosiddetta zona umida, che esistono ancora nella regione alpina.
