Incorniciata dalla splendida laguna, bacino più settentrionale del Mediterraneo, sorge Marano Lagunare, l’antica fortezza che risale all’epoca romana.
Nata come presidio per arrestare le invasioni barbariche, divenne e rimase per secoli ambita roccaforte della Repubblica Veneziana.
Vivace paese di pescatori, conserva ancora oggi un forte legame con quella cultura e tradizione marinara.
La splendida laguna accoglie le riserve naturali, ambienti umidi fra i più apprezzati d’Italia.

Framed by the splendid lagoon, the northernmost basin of the Mediterranean, stands Marano Lagunare, the ancient one
fortress that dates back to Roman times.
Born as a garrison to stop the barbarian invasions, it became and remained for coveted stronghold of the Venetian Republic for centuries.
Lively fishing village, preserve still today a strong bond with that seafaring culture and tradition.
The splendid lagoon welcomes the nature reserves, wetlands
among the most popular in Italy.
