            UN TESORO IRRINUNCIABILE.

il 20 maggio ricorre la Giornata Mondiale delle Api. Il World Bee Day, nato il 18 ottobre 2017 per volontà dell’Assemblea generale delle Nazioni Unite, vuole sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sull’importanza degli insetti impollinatori per l’equilibrio e la biodiversità degli ecosistemi e far riflettere sui pericoli che minacciano la loro sopravvivenza. Le api, spostandosi da un fiore all’altro, attraverso l’impollinazione svolgono un ruolo importante nel mantenimento dell’equilibrio ecologico e della biodiversità naturale.
Salvare le api per salvare anche noi stessi. Gli impollinatori, infatti, contribuiscono complessivamente alla produzione di oltre il 75% delle colture alimentari mondiali e secondo la FAO (Food and Agricolture Organization of the United Nations) supportano la produzione di 87 dei principali prodotti agricoli mondiali come mele, fragole, caffè e cacao, solo per citarne alcuni. La scomparsa delle api metterebbe quindi in pericolo anche la sicurezza alimentare dell’uomo.

May 20 is World Bee Day.
