37429 at Shrewsbury - a photo on Flickriver

            Class 37 no 37429 "Eisteddfod Genedlaethol"  arrives at Shrewsbury working the Pwllheli-Euston train on 18 August 1990. My notes show that this train, which I boarded for a trip to Wolverhampton, was running 58 minutes late at this point.

37429 was new, as D6600, in August 1965. It was renumbered to 37300 under TOPS in November 1973, and then became 37429 in March 1986. 37429 was withdrawn from service in October 2002 and was scrapped by EMR at Kingsbury in February 2008.
