25254 and 81010 at Northampton - a photo on Flickriver

            Northampton station on 17 July 1986. The Class 25 on the left is 25254 which has just come up from Bridge St with a pw working.  The electric loco on the right is 81010 which has just arrived on the 09.05 from Euston.

25254 started life as D7604 and was new from Derby Works in March 1966. It was withdrawn from service in September 1986 (2 months after the date of my photo) and was scrapped by V Berry in Leicester in June 1989. 

81010 was originally numbered E3013 and was built by the Birmingham RC&W Co in 1960. It was withdrawn from service in May 1990 and was scrapped by Coopers Metals in Sheffield in December 1991.
