2025.08.24 | M61 019 & 001 | Badacsonytördemic

            Ex 1973  "Csabai Tekergő"  (Tapolca-Békéscsaba) At the beginning of July, the NOHAB locomotive 001 derailed at Pásztó station, suffering a significant damage. From there, the locomotive was towed to Székesfehérvár, where it went through a repair and it lasted for nearly a month. On August 15, after the repair work was completed, the locomotive ran to Celldömölk for wheel turning. Only after this could the test run take place, during which unfortunately it went out of service again, leaving it stranded at Tapolca station. For this reason, the train no. 1973 was extended with an additional unit, the “Csabai Tekergő” express - which according to its roster was scheduled to be hauled by a NOHAB. This was an ideal opportunity to bring the unserviceable M61 up to Budapest.
