Common Redshank

            First trip of 2022 was to WWT Slimbridge on 5th Jan. Weather was fine and there was plenty of Bird activity.
It was also really great to catch up with fellow photographers some of who i hadn’t seen for 2+ years or more. I also met some new photographers. It really was a good start to the year.

As its name suggests, Redshanks' most distinctive features are their bright orange-red legs. They have a medium-length bill with an orange base to match, brown speckled back and wings and paler belly.
