York Skyline from Cliffords Tower - a photo on Flickriver

            Part of the York skyline as photographed from the top of Clifford's Tower. Having resurrected my old Pentacon Six TL medium format film camera, I took it up the tower on a cold February day to get some cityscape shots. This was taken using a Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 50mm f/4 wideangle lens, 1/30th sec. at f/11. I had to do a bot of maintenance on the aperture blades the week before-hand, as they were a bit sticky after so long out of use. Amazing what you can find on You Tube these days, just followed a video clip showing how to access the aperture blades and then cleaned them off using some isopropanol. Working beautifully now. Unfortunatley, the same can't be said for the shutter speeds on the P6, nor the wind-on mechanism. Quite a few overexposed shots and overlapping frames when I processed the film. Film used was Kodak Plus X Pan, rated at 125 ASA, developed in Ilford Ilfotec DD-X developer. Copied the resulting neg using a Nikon D800 with a Tamron 90mm f/2.5 macro lens and then processed the digitised copy and split toned it in LR6.
