9/100 It's Bud Man

            I found this promotional beer sign interesting as I’d never heard of Bud Man.

Bud Man was introduced by Anheuser Busch In the late 1960s to promote  Budweiser Beer. Initially all the Bud Men were blessed with a “beer-belly” a massive chin and a bulbous nose. He was a character that attracted a lot of attention and he soon appeared in print  advertising, wall signs, plaques, beer steins and  many other Bud Man  collectibles.  Bud Man went through many body changes and by the 1990's he sported a slimmer girth and some bulging biceps.

It's a shame this sign is so weathered as I would've liked to have seen the rest of it. It's attached to a long closed liquor store out in Bernalillo. I am assuming it's not particularly old  maybe  the late 1990's but I really don't know..
