BR Swindon Maybach 'Warship' Class 42 812 THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE 1859-1959 and BR Sulzer 'Peak' at Newton Abbot

            Not my photo - an eBay purchase. Both built in BR workshops, both classified Type 4, both developed from Pilot Scheme prototypes, and there the similarity ended, especially when it came to power to weight ratio. The Warship generated 28 hp/ton and the Peak managed only 18 hp/ton.
