Standing on thin ice! - a photo on Flickriver

            Had a great time today at Granite Mountain Lake. It is a small Alpine lake at 6000 feet and the average lows the last week have been in the 20s or less so it has been frozen over. A flock of over 25 Western Bluebirds has been hanging around lately and when they get thirsty, they land on the ice and punch little holes in the ice to drink some water. More to follow.
