            The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is full of all sorts of surprises.  Sometimes when you're looking for birds, you find flowers and bees instead.  And if you like flowers and bees, this is a good thing.  I like flowers and bees.  :o)

If you live in southern California and you haven't been to the Arboretum, you're really missing out.  A great place to spend a few hours, or much of a day if that's your thing.  It's right across the street from the world famous Santa Anita Racetrack, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains.
