Christine Falls Light and Shadow - a photo on Flickriver

            Christine Falls on Mt. Rainier.  One of the difficult things about Mt. Rainier National Park is that the days you want to be up there for the glorious views – sunny, blue skies – tend to be days without the best conditions for photographing waterfalls.  To deal with the resulting conditions, I blended two exposures in post to handle extreme contrast between sunlit bridge and shaded canyon.  Most of the photo is at ISO 50, f/8.0, 1/3 sec.  Only the bridge and the adjacent bright areas are at the ISO 500, f/8.0, 1/60 sec EXIF settings.
