The Glaciers of Mount Athabasca - a photo on Flickriver

            Mount Athabasca, rising more than 5,000 feet above this spot along the appropriately named Icefields Parkway, to its summit at 11,453 ft (3,491 m).  This peak is in the midst of the Columbia Icefield, the largest expanse of ice in the Canadian Rockies, and it straddles a triple continental divide, with water from its slopes flowing west towards the Pacific Ocean, east towards Hudson's Bay, and north towards the Arctic Ocean.
